Meeting the Magnificent by Progeny
This is my boyfriend’s band. And because of this band, I met him. <3 I fell in love with his talent. (and now, while my boyfriend reads this, he has this grin on his face)
I hope you guys enjoy. :)

If you liked the video I posted, listen to their other songs. It’s pure awesomeness.
Warning: your mind will be blown.
Last Friday night, me and my boyfriend decided to try all of the restaurants in Maginhawa St., UP Teacher’s Village. First stop is Pino Restobar, which is located in Malingap St. They specialize in Filipino dishes with a little bit of the twist. Twist in a way that they’ve changed some ingredients on the famous Filipino foods. :)
In an amount of Php 760, we got Kare Kareng Bagnet (Php 565) which is good for 3 to 4 persons; Sisig Carbonara (Php 165); and Bagoong Rice (Php 30).
I didn’t get a chance to take a lot of photos cause we’re too excited to try the food. :)
Pino Restobar is located at no. 39 Malingap St. near Maginhawa St., UP Teacher’s Village
My boyfriend loves kebab and his favorite restaurant is Ababu. Since we’re on our phase of trying new things (like restaurants, places to go, etc.), we decided to have lunch at Q-Kebab Restaurant last July 26 (Thursday).
My boyfriend ordered Beef Basmati Bowl (Php165) and I had Beef Shawarma (Php165). As we took our bite on our order, we just had that look that the management wouldn’t like. But we gave it a chance and continued eating and even put on garlic and hot sauce but still had the same look. The beef was too blunt on both of our orders. There were no taste at all.
Don’t get me started on the service. Yes, our order took only 2-3 minutes to get on our table but other than that, it was not that good. As we enter the restaurant, there no greetings or even a smile behind the counter. Every time we asked for a glass of water, we were given literally a glass of water. We had 5 glasses on our table by the time we finished eating. Are there no pitchers in your kitchen?!
Looking at the place, the market is definitely different from Ababu since it’sĀ air-conditioned, with plasma TV mounted on the wall, open food bar near the cashier, soft cushioned chairs at one side and standard tables and chairs in the middle of the room.
All in all, I wouldn’t suggest this restaurant at all. I’d rather eat at Ababu or try a new Kebab restaurant.
Q-Kebab is located at Esteban Abad St., Loyola Heights, QC.
